Yahoo mail seems to have a new feature which it broadcasts your activity to your contacts?

How do you stop this? It shows me all the sudden who is online, what groups they have joined, etc. This is my business email address! I’m concerned it is showing them things about me (for example I joined some groups that deal with certain health conditions) . I emailed yahoo and have not heard back. How can they do this and how can I turn it off?

It sounds like you’re referring to the “shared updates” and “connections”

Go to your settings and disable “Connections” and that should solve your problem.
Mail page>>options>>mail options>>and the “general” page opens.
At the top of the page, UN-check the connections box—then click “save changes at the top of the page.
