During the past week, Sen. Hillary Clinton has presented herself as a working class populist, the politician in touch with small town sentiments, compared to the elitism of her opponent, Sen. Barack Obama.
In January 1995, as the Clintons were licking their wounds from the 1994 congressional elections, a debate emerged at a retreat at Camp David. Should the administration make overtures to working class white southerners who had all but forsaken the Democratic Party? The then-first lady took a less than inclusive approach.
“Screw ‘em,” she told her husband. “You don’t owe them a thing, Bill. They’re doing nothing for you; you don’t have to do anything for them.”

I think that she is becoming a republican. She was a republican to begin with, clearly she misses them
Simple, ever the super snobbish elitists know that in order to win in an election, they need the votes of the people they think are DIRT.
They are both elitist, no difference at all, except Obama got caught on candid camera.
She’ll pretend to be whatever she can to get 50% + 1 to get into the White House.
If some poll showed that the most likely candidate to win was a black male gay porn star with a $10K/day crack addiction, she’d start signing up to do gay porn tomorrow.

She is running for president and she does not have any problem telling lies. Also she knows that the people who are stupid enough to vote for her will also be big enough suckers to believe it.
She grew up in Park Ridge, Ill. Hardly a working class neighborhood.
I saw this one last night too, and it actually shocked me. I really had a lot of respect for Sen. Clinton before these Primaries. But she seems wishy washy now, like winning is the big picture over even destroying her Party.
She acts like it’s okay for her to misspeak, but not anybody else. No, nail them to the cross. But yet she gets away with statements like these.
Good for her, screw everyone who doesn’t help you, I agree with that sentiment.
