I am planning our “end of tax season” party for the accounting team at my work and need some ideas on what kind of a party to throw them. Last year the company bought them jackets and treated them to indoor go-cart racing. The year before that they went on a scavenger hunt around Boston and recieved beer mugs and went to happy hour. We are a growing real estate firm in the Boston area. Anyone have any good ideas on what to plan for this year? I am planning this for May 2007, have a budget of $3,000 and a group of about 20. Thanks.
Naked Twister?!
why don’t you find a bed & breakfast/large victorian mansion something of the sort, rent it out and host a Murder Mystery Party. You could hire some members of a local theater community group to play parts and have the guests participate. have them dress as their favorite sleuth, whether it be mickey spillaine, r columbo or sherlock holmes. Have a meal associated with the party. they are a lot of fun.
Do a Monte Carlo Night. Rent a roulette wheel and set up black jack tables. Put the dealers/servers in the traditional black and white with the green visors and hand out chips and “funny money”. Have a game table with “fabulous” prizes from your local $1-$5 store. Serve martinis and finger foods conducive to gambling. Just some quick ideas…I’ll bet you can think of more.
Bowling always seems to go over well and with that budget you could easily rent an alley out! Plus, you could have an open bar, that always goes over well! You could also have an outdoor picnic and invite their whole families and have family contests with cool prizes. Whatever you decide, buy some cool things and raffle them off and donate the proceeds to a good cause. These type of parties are always a wonderful opportunity to also give back to the community and it’s always appreciated. Have fun!
Have a Casino Party, there is an irony in it, you can get chips, table, cards, go to the local dollar store for cards, dice, and the like have it at a location, and utilize kmart, walmart, and any other discount chain and players can turn in the chips for prizes instead of money
Hey, 50 points for Boomaloha, what a great idea. Even I can’t top that one and I’m usually great with this kind of thing. You go Boom.
