When wanting to plan your event, whether this is a business meeting space, wedding event venue or corporate event in Washington, there are some questions that you should ask yourself.

How many people are required for the event?

Is this going to require 200, 500, 1000+ people. The number of attendees will effect the venue choice. Another factor surrounding the size of the venue is car parking spaces. Does the event venue n Washington have enough car parking spaces. Some places will even have adequate space to hold two or more conferences at the same time.

What facilities are provided by the event center or meeting space?

Do they provide linen and have adequate furniture for the event needed?. This may sound a silly question but most facilities will have a scaling budget depending on your requirements. They may even have a wide range of linen tablecloth, napkins etc for you to choose from to suit the mood, wedding, business event, meeting space.

Are outdoor facilities needed?

Will you require an outdoor scene for photo’s or intimate gatherings. Can this be catered for?

Visit The event center

A good idea would be to visit the event center to make sure it caters for all of your needs. Depending on the venue, you may need to call first to arrange a tour of the facilities.

Catering

Does the event handle all catering for the event or would you prefer outside caterers. Do they have kitchen facilities and cooking facilities. Some event centers, for health and safety reasons, will only allow approved caterers to cook and prepare food. It might also be a good idea to have the caterers contact the venue to make sure that all terms and requirements of the event center are adhered to.

Do they Serve Alcohol?

The Event Center may allow you to serve alcohol under conditions consistent with the applicable laws of the State of Washington. All alcohol must be served by an appropriately licensed bartender and a liquor permit must be obtained and posted before any alcohol can be opened and served. Most full service caterers can assist you with bar and beverage service. The customer takes full responsibility for all liability arising from the serving and consumption of alcoholic beverages.

Finally the cost. Making sure that you have budgeted for everything you need is vital to planning a good event. Getting a few quotes of prices will give you a good base to make your decision.
