Office Holiday Event Ideas…?

I need to organize a holiday event for my department. We have about 40 people in the department. Anyone have any ideas on what type of “event” we can do? The event should be during working hours (since we already have an off-site company party). This is more to show appreciate to the department for their efforts and dedication this year. Any ideas???
Get every one a stocking and have all the department supervisors or big wigs to put something inside. Other employees and participate too. Cater in lunch and watch everyone share what they got.
Book a private room at a restaurant and take them out to lunch. Or, bring lunch in and get together in a conference room at the office. My husband’s company always has a lunch on Christmas Eve. You can put together a PowerPoint presentation with funny pictures of the employees, do some skits, make the new employees hired within a year stand up and sing a Christmas carol, etc.
Set up a tree in the department. Ask everyone to help decorate it. Bring some Christmas cookies and hot cider or hot chocolate. Do a Secret Santa or a White Elephant exchange.
if you’re wanting to show appreciation for your department…how about letting everyone dress casually and have a nice lunch catered…
