Looking for a party planner for sis’ 30th b-day or a decent size venue to hold 30 ppl in Chicago… any ideas?

I’m trying to be real creative with my sister’s 30th surprise b-day party and would like to do some type of “Hollywood” or “Murder Mystery” theme where we have actors or the guest are the actors but have no idea where to start. I’d like to host it somewhere in downtown Chicago and plan on inviting no more than 30 people. I don’t know whether to try to plan it myself and find a venue or to just locate a party planner or event company. Prob is I don’t want to spend thousands of dollars on this since we’ll probably also have to book hotel rooms in the city too.
I’ve tried to do some research online but haven’t gotten very far. Any suggestions appreciated! The event would be in September.
I dont know about your Theater Plans, but if you want to spoil your Guest’s with some good Food and Atmosphere contact any “Lettuce Entertain You” Restaurant in Chicago. They all have Event Planners on Hand. Depends on what kind of Food do you like !!!!!

For your location, call your favorite restaurants in Chicago. Many of the medium to large sized restaurants have a special party room that can definitely hold 30 people. It all depends on the price you want to go with. I would suggest a pizza place or an Italian place like Maggiano’s because their dishes are able to serve a lot of people.
