Is it just for the employees? Will you be in a situation that is going to arouse suspicion from your spouse? You don't want to put your family on the side plate, however if this is a retreat that is a company annual, or something that everyone does, and it's needed for work advancement, talk it over with your family. Most of the time you can resolve issues like this by getting your family's feelings on the matter. Who knows, there may be a way you can all go.
