How do you feel about Israel funding Hamas knowing they were a group bent on destroying the Israeli State?

And why does the Israeli government (at least as of June 2008) allow some Israeli citizens to profit from funds collected by Hamas that are then used (according to Israel) to fund terrorist activities against its own citizens?

@curious, it’s not about aid. It was about i) Israeli taxes being partially used to fund a terrorist group and ii) Israeli money exchangers making money off of foreign funds solicited by Hamas
the only way israel is funding hamas is with the aid they are forced to pay… hamas then uses it for their own use and to procure arms wherever they can… rather than feeding the palestinians or building anything useful.
this of course is upsetting to the israelis, but it doesnt have any choice… very clever by the palestinians to keep begging for aid then using it against israel….
hopefully the world will become aware of this soon and stop all aid paid directly to hamas and find a way to get it to the people who really need it.

Wow dude this is like 8 years ago. I was surprised … Israel funding Hamas that’s insane, they’re both common enemies. Why would Israel fund Hamas for?
I think it would be better if they (Israel) help build the schools and hospitals they destroyed in the Gaza Strip.

They have to have a currency and that backed by some country. Everyone else refused as just like the rest of the mess it was dumped in Israel’s lap regardless of her laws. It was that or watch people starve. Which is claimed but never true.
I think as a government you have to make hard choices but you are right. Very few governments would have gone to the extremes that Israel has to insure the health and board of their sworn enemies.
Starving them out would have worked. And brought on worse than what is. This is not the way it ends.
