How do I find companies to sponsor an event to welcome home Soldiers from Afghanistan?

We have 3000 Illinois Guardsmen and women returning home from Afghanistan, there will be a college and job fair for them and then an event with celebrities to welcome them home, would love ideas on how and who to contact for sponsorships.
Co-ordinate your efforts with the personnel folks at the various Guard bases in Illinois. By the way, thanks for your efforts. Our Guard and Reserve forces are carrying a heavy load, and they deserve all the help they can get.
You go talk to the companies! Walk into an office or store and ask to speak to the manager.
