Does anyone know The safest way to sell inventions and Ideas to large company’s?

I have countless invention ideas. Some very simple and others would take quite a bit of funding.

What i need to know is

How do i figure out which company to sell to.

How do i know what % of the profit i should be getting,

Do i get one lump some from the idea? Do i get a monthly check? Do i get paid depending on the success of the product?

I do not have alot of money. So i am looking for cheap roads, Safe but cheap.

What is the best way to copyright without having to pay a copyright place?

Will having the ideas saved on a dated file and/or mailing the idea to myself work?

Can you discuss your product idea with the company over the phone or will it be in person? Because traveling is not something i can do, but hope to be able to get my products to the most beneficial company’s.

Should i use a lawyer? If so can a lawyer who who does contracts mainly for loans in houses aid in this type of contracting?

Is there anything that i can do to pre ready myself in the event of a company trying to sell the idea as their own with out payment to me.

Is there a difference in how much money will be paid to the inventor, Between an orginal idea and an add on to a company’s already made idea?

I would appreciate any help.

But prefer a professional opinion or one from an inventor who has already traveled this course.

Best

You will not be able to “copyright” it free. You will need to patent the invention to try and stop others cashing in on your work and this is far from a simple process. You will need to cover
many processes similar to yours to stop others using it (indeed you will first need to make sure no one else has done it and patented it before you) For all of this you will need to consult a patent lawyer.

Many lawyers now offer a service where they will let you have a half hour session free or very cheap with any subsequent meetings being charged at their normal rate. 1 such meeting should be sufficient for you to know if there is much chance of you making sufficient money from your ideas to be able to afford to pay for further sessions!

As for how much you can get – “how long is a piece of string?” – the better your ideas and the more you sell the more you will be able to get from subsequent inventions.
