The White House said on Wednesday it was “despicable” that American International Group Inc. executives spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on a posh California retreat just days after getting a federal bailout.
Lawmakers investigating the meltdown of AIG said the retreat didn’t include anyone from the financial products division that nearly drove the company under, but they were still enraged that executives of AIG’s main U.S. life insurance subsidiary spent $440,000 on the retreat, complete with spa treatments, banquets and golf outings.
Good work, if you can get it, huh?
I got a massage after panhandling for mortgage money, so I get it.
The government should seize their assets and take control of the company, talk about ungrateful, I would have never voted to pass that ridiculous bill in the first place…..

I found $5 in the pocket of my leather coat. I was thinking about getting a spa treatment and rubbing one out due the the huge financial bail out that $5 gave me.

You mean you’re surprised that we were scammed out of money by the corporate world/government yet again?
I was POed after hearing about that! It is so unfair, and you know that this same kind of thing is going to be happening with some of the 700 billion dollar bailout money! It is just wrong, it should be spent on bailing out the companies, not giving their people even more luxuries!
The hotel they went to is by my house. Nice place. I would love to stay there. They spent $7k on green fees.
Hell, I’m all for spa treatments. I’m more pissed that they didn’t come to my town. Damn Cali always stealin my bidness.

Ii mean, I found a dollar on the street and had to add $5 more of my own to buy Valium to calm my nerves.
