Are introverts naturally more intelligent than extraverts?

Extraverts tend to enjoy human interactions and to be enthusiastic, talkative, assertive, and gregarious. They take pleasure in activities that involve large social gatherings, such as parties, community activities, public demonstrations, and business or political groups. An extraverted person is likely to enjoy time spent with people and find less reward in time spent alone.
Introverts tend to be quiet, low-key, deliberate, and relatively non-engaged in social situations. They take pleasure in solitary activities such as reading, writing, watching movies, inventing, and designing. An introverted person is likely to enjoy time spent alone and find less reward in time spent with large groups of people (although they may enjoy one-to-one or one-to-few interactions with close friends).
What do you think?
I would say that introverts are naturally smarter bc extroverts are dumb down to the average person. Not that thats bad just my thoughts.
introvert can be smarter since they spend more time thinking through instead of just talking …
each have its strength but on the IQ side, those who spend time thinking will get more advantage
All is relative
statements are relative
it depend on the circunstance
in general introversy means also a disconfort and not ability to integrate with others but that does not mean the person is less intelligent
or an extraverts which seems enjoyng a lot can be very superficial and so less intelligent of the introvert….
so the fact is how to judge intelligence? what means intelligence?
one can be a scientist building a terrible athomic bomb,
would you call him ‘intelligent’?
No
I would use more the expression ‘wise’ than intelligent
or even better combine the two ‘wise intelligent’
to be short wisdom is what we need!!!
Hmmmm, i wouldn’t be so sure
One can only speculate, I am an extrovert and I am one of the smartest people on the planet, I know I am fluent in more subjects than most of the population, I have a PhD in life experiences twice over! So to answer your question it can’t be answered, both have equal potential, and you can’t prove different!
Introversion is correlated to higher intelligence. The intelligence bell curves
of introverts and extroverts overlap, with that of introverts being more
intelligent.
I am introverted and I think there is some truth to what you’re saying. It’s not just thinking more but, as you said (or quoted), reading, writing, being artistic, etc. I would think the average introvert may be smarter but also deals with more mental illness and other negative side effects.
