The contest is an annual Halloween event that our town does and we really want to win. The only rule is that the decoration must have a Scarecrow in it. Thanks!
Do the Scarecrow from Batman. He’s pretty scary, with the fear gas, noose around his neck, straight jacket, poorly stitched mask, etc.
How big are you making it? What about a scarecrow wearing a scary costume? What kind of business are you?
Maybe that will give us some more ideas!
Look at this one!

♥ Well what kind of business do you have?? Kinda do it along the lines of your business… if its a lawncare business you could have a scarecrow pushing a lawnmower… if its a wedding consultant business you can do a bride & groom getting married… etc. Good Luck!
Whatever team your local high school or college wears – put them in that jersey. That will surely spark love for the town.
You could also put the scarecrow in a position that isn’t common. Like a scene where a scarecrow is playing a trick on some people (scarecrows are sneaky tricksters!!!!). Or make a contraption that makes the scarecrows’ face change every certain amount of time to fool people.
You could also go with a theme of the scarecrow protecting a field of candy *yum*.
Some ideas.
Hope they helped!!
Best of luck!!!
What came to mind was an Elvis scarecrow. Make it from straw and pose it like Elvis with his hairstyle. Give him a paunch and make him holding a peanut butter and banana sandwich.
I’m curious about the contest. What do people generally do for it? What have past winners done? Inquiring minds want to know.
You can do the typical corn field, pumpkin patch. You can do the Wizard of Oz (yellow brick road, music playing in the back). You can do the Nightmare before Christmas or maybe do something totally different. You can make a red carpet with celebrity scarecrows. Just be very creative. Scarecrow Brittany Spears, Tom Cruise, Hillary Clinton. You get the idea.
How about a pirates of the carribean scarecrow, instead of Jack sparrow, you have Jack scarecrow.
