Any ideas for a 50’s Oscar Theme gathering at the work place?

Hi.. the company l work for is having a 50″ oscar theme event. It’s a yearly meeting where all the employees gather and prizes are given for the employee of the year, the manager of the year etc.
I am on the planning committee, and l am trying to come back with good ideas.
Can you give me any suggestions?
For a theme, you could pick like 4 movies that were Oscar winners and everyone can vote on the theme. Then everyone has to try to dress up as an Oscar winner from any movie in the 50’s and people could try to guess which famous actor/actress they are. There could be a best costume award where everyone votes on a slip of paper and you tally it up. And whether there is alcohol or not, serve it in those little Champagne coupes, not flutes.
